As the days and nights pass by our love grows
slowly falling deeper and deeper
into the ocean known as love.
Pulled deeper into its depths
By the ever-strengthening hands of time.
We surrender and let it’s warmth fill our beings
This is love this is life this is ours.
Whatever Kellie did worked amazingly, was all I could think as I saw them walking up to me laughing and talking. They looked as if they had been best friends for years, and as they got closer, I saw what they were wearing, and it was stunning. They both looked beautiful in their new dresses. “Hey, baby I’m ready for our date now. Oh did you manage to catch up on the work you wanted to do today.” Crystal asked then kissed me on the cheek leaving me speechless for a few seconds. “It was a good day baby I managed to finish all my articles, well the ones that were due today anyway, and I even had time to read all the summaries that needed to be sent out tonight. Just have to go to a few meetings tomorrow and I’ll have nothing overdue from last week. You look amazing by the way.” I said with a smile.
We got into the car, and I drove off, I had made reservations at one of my favorite high-class restaurants that was almost impossible to get a reservation at. I was hoping to surprise her and get her to relax about work more. It was a very strange car ride, she was just sitting next to me clinging to my arm as I drove talking about work. Something I found bizarre after her big argument this morning about me liking work too much. The whole car ride was one question after the next, she asked about what I did today, what I was planning for the next day, and what I was planning in general for the company. Even though I thought it was very nice she was getting interested in my work, it seems very odd that it happened all of a sudden. But I paid the strange feeling no mind as I answered her questions, it wasn’t that important at the moment whether or not she was interested in what I was doing at work.
The car ride lasted fifteen minutes, and all I did was answer her questions the entire time. Which I had to admit was actually very enjoyable, and insightful making me see just how much stuff I actually did at work. I smiled as we pulled up to the restaurant, I handed the valet the key and opened the door for her, as I wondered what she did with Kellie today that brought on all those questions.
As we sat at our table, I looked up at her and could tell she was enjoying herself. At that moment it was as if a switch of joy went off in both of us. We talked and laughed like never before as we waited for the waiter to bring our order. Then as I looked up at her as she ate she seem to glow, it was as if the sun was rising behind her. I smiled while staring at her making her blush, which made me feel as if everything in the entire room was suddenly now glowing. I sat back in my chair smiling and continued our conversation from before. Every minute of the dinner seemed to just melt away, and before we knew it, it was already closing in time.
We left the dinner happier than we had been since we met, we had no worries of any kind, and the feeling that things are going to be perfect from this moment on filled both of us. The night got even more amazing as we headed back to our home for the first time. We walked into a new house for the first time hand-in-hand. This would be where we would spend the rest of our lives, I thought to myself. This our new home was made even more fitting for us, because we had both sold the houses we lived in before to buy this one.
We laid together in the living room making plans for our new home, talking about the lives we used to have, and talking about the life we were going to have now.
That night was a truly an amazing night, and it felt as if it would never come to an end just extending on forever.
