I listened to the voice and handed my control over to it, my whole demeanor changed in an instant. I reach up and grabbed my brothers hand and was on my feet smiling. “Haven’t seen you in a while Will, looks like you’re ready to get back to the old school fighting style.” Said Ten Thousand as he reached into his pocket. He pulled what looked like a watch out and handed it to me. “Can’t fight without this now can we.” He said with a smile as he pulled his sleeve up and pushed a button on the one he was wearing. His clothing shimmered and then turned black as a long trench coat materialized over his body.
I smiled pulled the watch on and pushed the button on mine, my cloths began to change but instead of black, it was all white. The long coat fell just to the ground and I smiled. “Yin yang fighting style, haven’t done this in a while are you sure your up for this Daniel.” I said with a smile as I cracked my neck, my hands moved into my old fighting stand with easy. “Haven’t been called that in a long time I prefer Ten Thousand now. Ten Thousand replayed with a smile pulling his blades from the coat and standing with his back to mine; moving his hands into their place as well. “So you did master it after all.” I said; we were ready for a battle and there was no way we would be losing this fight.
It had been over and eon since I let my other half control my body, he usually defended the planets in my system it was a good arrangement we no longer fought for control of the body and I think he was happy like this I was at least, That and he never complained about it. Nevertheless, he was the fighter not me and we needed a fighter cause the last thing I felt before my powers faded was an army coming to attack.
This was going to be a fight Ten Thousand couldn’t handle on his own without his powers I just hoped Will still knew how to fight like he used to. After all, he was the second most powerful fighter in the universe and I hoped he hadn’t lost his touch. I pulled in my mental field to everything within 20 meters, and I released the last bit of my control to Will and left the fight to him.
The mental field would read the minds of everything within it and would allow Will to predict the enemy’s next move and share it with Ten Thousand. The army came bursting in from every side; the atmosphere became tense as everyone waited for someone to make the first move. Their guns aimed at us as they slowly walked to us, our smiles grew as we thought back to the days we fought off armies and empires for the good of those we protected, who would of thought one day we would defending ourselves from those who wanted to harm us, and not someone we were protecting.
